And unlike the majority of threads on here lately, this is all about him, Hughton and NCFC. QPRcelona don't get so much as a f***ing mention http://www.canaries.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~2852752,00.html
Marc Tierney is a top quality left back. If he gets a good run out injury free next year we've got a hell of an advantage. Pilks link up with him is great to
Thank feck for that, sick of hearing about them. Great about Tierney, was worried that the news on him was very quiet.
Football clubs pretty much never talk about injured players so really what's been happening with Tierney is no different.
Will be nice to have him back and injury free (100% if possible), with Drury gone we need him at left back firing on all cylinders.
Do you think Lappin a good enough back up? Just in case there are any relapses from Tierney's injury?
Hard one to call Wonky (being careful to get your name right today ) I remember watching Darren Kenton as an emergency left back and it was a disaster, getting ripped apart at home to Stockport for example! I always get a little anxious when out of position players "fill in"
No worries! I'm sure we would not have let Drury go unless the club was sure we would be fine with Lappin as back up or the club had another left back in mind. Also, I'm sure Holt could provide adequate back up given the number of times he's covered there when Drury or Tierney has been stranded up the field!
Ah, forgot about him. But I agree with supers, another versatile full back would be great. Maybe someone who can charge down the right like Naughton and seeing as R Martin will probably play more at centre back.
I'm fine with Lappin at left back his record last year when starting was 4 games 3 wins 1 draw if i remember correctly... As a back up left back I am fine with him though you know he will give you his all and if he gets the chance you know a quality ball is going in the box
Lapps is fine - lacks a bit of pace but like Drury has good positional sense and is adequate cover for Tierrney imo. His ability to cross the ball should not be overlooked either. Didn't Ward play at LB at Cov for a while - he's got less pace than a broken down bus though so I'd crap myself if he stood in at LB.
Too true Beef. I posted a similar comment on one fo the posts earlier in the week and it was great to see the pair of them tearing down the wing towards me in the N&P at home games, as my seat is just to the right of the goal as I look at the pitch!!!
The delivery down the left was great with Tierney and pilks, possibly contributed to morisons early flourish of goals? Big opportunity for them and the big men up front.
You know what Beefy? You're not as daft as you look! Morro's "loss of form" coincided with Tierney's injury! Great shout!
