Serious question: Are the numbers of empty seats at the Emerates going to be a financial problem if it continues? a mate of mine has a gooner mrs who is a season ticket holder. Over the past 2 years she has said that there have been a growing number of empty seats at a majority of Arsenal home matches. She said that season ticket holders are seller the tickets for various matches back to the club who are not always able to resell them. I mention this as the last 3 times I've seen MOTD there have been noticably more empty seats all around the ground. I also read that Arsenal are very financially dependent on match day revenues (programmes, food, drink, club shop) so wondered if this is likely to cause a problem.
In all honesty, I haven't noticed any major issue in empty seats, many people often arrive late, so that's why in the first 5-10 minutes you find lot's of empty seats, and a lot of people also leave early, like 10 minutes before the game. There are a few more empty seats here and there, but nothing drastic. BUT, if we do drop out of the top 4, then you could probably see a sharp drop in attendance.
My mates Mrs thought that ST holders can sell tickets back to the club (at a lower than cost price) and then the club sell it on ... this was supposed to stop fans selling to ticket touts.
You just sell your ticket to other supporters through Ticket Exchange. The membership scheme and electronic admission was meant to stop touts but all the touts do is buy a membership.
In one of the supporters group meetings it was confirmed that 400 Club Level members attended one game or less a season
They have more money than sense ... should have their tickets taken off of them and given to real fans (and I mean taken and given )
Arsenal don't give a **** as long as they get the money. They certainly don't care about touts having memberships.Have a look how easy it is to get Arsenal tickets on tout websites.Where are these sites getting tickets from ?
