Pointless bollocks designed for companies to show that they invest in their employees and care about their development when in reality they don't give a ****e. I really wish this stupid HR box ticking exercise was done away with.
Actually everyone gets appraised and I got a very good one but I still think they are pointless box ticking exercises.
A company I contract for make the staff do a tracker to record everything they do during the working day I'd point blank refuse if they made me!
One of the categories on my last appraisal was a mark out of 10 for 'courage' (I forget what I got). I asked my manager if we were switching from IT to the lion-taming business. 'Helicopter view' was another baffling one.
