Anyone else thinking we got the wrong Boro striker :s

6 in 5, started the season very well. Anyone have any ideas if we are still in for him or do you think due to his start his price would have gone up to a level where we won shell out for him.

All jokes aside i think Lita will do a tidy job for us his season but just due to his start i cant help but feel we may have missed the boat on this one, especially as it was rumoured that £4million would have secured both Lita and Emnes

No point dwelling on it to be honest, we've got who we've got, but remember he's scored in lower league games only, and has scored only 9 league goals in 4 seasons according to wiki

I am not happy we went in for Lita, but he's here now, we must support him and the club, and must place faith in brendan in that we went in for the right striker from them

TBH i think Lita will come good, would have preferred the 2 but given the transfer window is still open i was just wondering if anyone had any ideas if we were still sniffing around him??

Emnes has just signed a new contract for boro, we will have no hope of bringing him to us IMO , and it would cost us a fortune

I said before we signed Lita, that I would sooner have Emnes! I rate Emnes, I don't rate Lita or his attitude, and Lita couldn't do anything against a League 2 side?? strange old game this footy, too much politics in the game getting in the way aye!...............

Emnes is water under the bridge. Let's keep looking forward - dwelling on failed transfer targets just gives us ammunition to shoot down our current playing squad, which we need to be supporting.

Brenden pulled him from nowhere ,none of us had really known much about him until he came to us. Brenden also pulled Borini from chelsea reserves and not many knew about him either im sure there are plenty of good players out there for the right money . vorm for example!!

As it gets closer to the 25 man squad then options will open up, there could be some last minute deals that might suprise us. emnes wont be one of them but there might be someone as good/better than him .

I agree with Dragon. Always said prefer Emnes. but that is water under the bridge. We have to show our support for Lita and everyone else in the White of Swansea. Am sure he will score goals for us this season.

If it was a straight choice between the two of them then I'd have wanted Emnes over Lita, but not Emnes over Graham. All three are good strikers that can score goals when given opportunities, and none are yet proven in the Premiership.

I think Lita looks far more fired up in his cameos than Graham so far, so I'd give him a start sooner rather than later just to see how he fares with more chances. However, either alone or as a duo, these two should be enough to keep the goals ticking over (especially when Sinclair and Dobbie are there to help out) once they get the first one out of the way. I think pressure is weighing on Danny more than most in the squad so far and it was only until late on today that he started looking like he believed in himself again.

Debating whether Emnes would have been better or not is a moot point - he's not faced these Premiership defences recently and so you can't compare them. Plus I prefer to focus on our own players rather than watch what a former loanee who is highly unlikely to sign for us this season has been doing. <cheers>
