Asked about a possible move to Leicester, Heskey said: "There is nothing on that. There is a possibility that might happen. Heskey is a free agent after Villa told him he wont be getting a new deal
DEF Carlos Cuellar, 30, is also a free agent at the end of the season. Prem experience, big & strong, just what we need to get out of the npower. Could be a good buy ?
@John__Percy: Personal opinion on Heskey - would be amazed if he goes back to #lcfc. Pearson targeting players under 25 and not one for sentiment
cuellar- yes yes yes. heskey- would allow a team to flourish and help builda great team ethic. yes all day long.
I can't see anything wrong with him returning, hes just as good as big Steve, if not better, and Pearson likes that option on the bench.
Heskey if he played 46 games would probably score about 10 goals in this league and he would set up alot more for people like Nugent, King, Marshall
We'd need King to become the attacking midfielder he was last year, rather than the mediocre all rounder he has become this year.
We only ever really saw the best of King when we had Yuki Abe in their. Abe sat back allowing King to just get forward and play his game and get in the box. Once we ask King to play part of a 2 he struggles
Why not bring him back - can still do the job, albeit off the bench more often then not. Bring Bruno home!
1 season back with us to help the other players through the season & to link the MID with the FOR. His goal scoring is **** but he´s got experience & he holds the ball up well. He´ll be on a free so....
Nobby Solano? .... I think NP would think about Bruno - there is no substitute for genuine quality and NP does like a 'Big Stevie' option after all
Also, look at the infrastructure of the club- I don't think any of the management were here when Heskey was last a Leicester player, the only reason for his return would to appease the old fans, and I'm not sure that's Pearson's style. That said, my mum said she'd come and watch if he was here, so that's an extra ticket to the owners! I personally would love to see him back, being just too young to have seen him first time around, though I know old Leicester Heskey will not be returning!
The thing he is brilliant at is drawing fouls from opposition players who find it impossible to win the ball fairly when played up to him because of his sheer physical presence - what's more, unlike Didhe Godownagain at Chelsea, Bruno does this within the rules rather than shamming, diving and rolling around ... never thought I'd be saying this, but it might be worth keeping Gally given the number of free-kicks we'd get on the edge of the penalty area!!! ... actually let's not ... just sign Whittingham!!!!
Heskey would accept Championship wages to end his career here - just depends if NP wants him. Can see the likes of West Ham going for him - is a Big Sam type of player.
