Ricardo is convinced we can split the loan up in between matches so that on the days he is just training with us and there's no game he can officially be back at his parent club meaning it doesn't count towards the 93 days. The loan rules seem to allow that so I think he might be right.
Play of final is 27th of may so I think im right in saying that's 24th February, it's the day after the Bolton game and that leaves us with Derby, Charlton, Blackburn and Bolton before we can get someone in that will take us to the end of the season.
I'd sooner get someone in now - sod going for the play offs - let's get the player(s) in we need to help us rack up the points now and not wait till the end of the month
completely agree, aluko will be back firing then hopefully if it comes to it, and gedo will have 3 months fitness under his belt.. its the next few games we need somebody, could make the difference between a 10 point haul and a 5 point haul in the next few games..massive difference to the automatic promotion race
DJ hits it on the head, it's now or never. The difference between challenging for auto's or clinging on for a playoff spot. We failed to do it in the summer, failed to do it in January so let's do it this emerg window and not have our biggest "if only" season ever!
We need the players now. The play offs are far to big a gamble. This is one of the biggest Years in the clubs history we simply need to go up.
I would sign one now, another in 2 weeks - effectively giving you something now and something for the play offs, if we have to take that route. I am disappointed we seemingly had all our eggs in 2 Campbell baskets.

The George Boyd rumour keeps persisting and doesn't seem to want to fade away, good catch if true. I think we definitely need another striker. Simpson just isn't up to it. His hold up play and willingness to get the game going again is brilliant, but he's playing as a lone striker (technically - as Koren has been a bit off pace lately and he's a midfielder) and you expect a lone striker to be a bit more reliable and prolific in front of goal. We'll be boosted by the return of Aluko, but we are losing Ground waiting for him to return. Gedo should start for me, didn't see enough to judge him at the Amex, but he's the most prolific option we have within the Club at the moment. Our inability to put the ball in the back of the net will cost us dearly. Especially now that we're in the business end of the Season. This Loan Window needs to be used IMO. Just someone to contest for that forward role, make them work harder for it and show some determination.
Will definitely get someone in - Brucey on about Gedo not being fit enough - he knows we have to start finding the net any time soon and this message is one for the Allams... Is there a PL striker out there that we could take a punt on? - Bent would be awesome - bench warming for Villa behind a half million pound buy from Chesterfield yesterday ffs...
Can't see Bent being sent out on loan, they will need all the bodies they can to get them out the mess they are in
Probably not but you never know - a marquee signing such as him would be tremendous. Are we able to sign PL players during this emergency loan period or does it just apply to the FL?
