Belissimo. He looks like the kind of creative midfielder that we're badly missing.

Mix a few big strong "guardians" into this squad and we will be OK. preferably down the spine of the team. Really looking forward to this season and the slow climb upwards. Haway the Lads.

Did he play at all last season? Not even certain what his position was but yeah he looked good with that goal and assists. Could be a nice bonus for the season.

Exactly this, we have got some really good kids and Ross seems to be trying and is signing 6' + players which is what we need for the coming season.
if we can get Wyke and/or Sharp up front to take on the big defenders then our younguns will definitely benefit.
    I'm very optimistic.

the replay close in behind him shows him step as if he's moving the ball with his right - completely bamboozles the defender! not only a great finish but great skill too!

Hope he gets game time this season - heard a lot of good stuff about him from my mates who closely monitor the young 'uns

Add Mumba , Stryjek, Kimpionka, Ethan Robson, Honeyman, Maja, Molyneuix, Hume and Nelson. Weve got some quality kids that will all get a chance next season.

That’s my biggest hope for the ‘new and improved’ Sunderland after the fear of premiership and championship relegations that we give all the kids finally a good crack at it. Of course there is pressure for promotion but at this level with the academy we were always told we were getting then this should be a much easier path to the first team. I was always a bit jealous of the Boro team that seemed to be good at doing this a few years ago. If we do then start doing that it should then attract better kids to it and should snowball

Anybody watch last nights game, we were overrun by a brilliant exhibition of football from the French U19's, on this showing they have some tremendous prospects, going into the game we only needed a draw and they needed to win, from the first minute to the last the result (5-0) was never in doubt, in fact it flattered us. The good news is that Embelton was again our stand out player, not at all out of his depth as were so many of his team-mates, he hit the bar with our only shot in the first half and set up two chances with some neat link up play in the second. Our defending was very poor, Chalobah excepted, and France took full advantage, knocking us out of the competition with ease, and looking strong favourites to win it, looking forward to seeing them again on this showing.

We are small fish currently, but I can see us moving upwards, and this new set up has me confident that young players who stick with the club are not going to be undervalued or overlooked if they are good enough, the grass is not always greener elsewhere, as some, ( Paddy I hope ) ,will find out. <ok>
