The HDM is reporting his inclusion in Egypt's squad for the ACON qualifiers: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...Egypt-squad/story-22816787-detail/story.html? Goes after the Villa game on Sunday....
It's the first international break after the Villa game until we play West Ham Monday 15th Sept. I've not checked but I assume Egypt will play Sat 6th Sept an then again mid-week, same as most other nations. So he'll be fine for the 15th. If Egypt qualify for the ACON final stages then he could miss a chunk mid Jan to mid Feb.... Aluko is also in the Nigeria squad.
I think he'd be a big miss to us, perhaps more than people think. Whilst he can be one dimensional at times, his work rate is exceptional; as showcased yesterday.
Elmo know matter how many games he plays always seems to put in a good performance, must me the most consistent player we have.
Completely agree John. He never misses a game, brilliant in the air, gives 110% for full 90 minutes up and down the field, always the first to congratulate his team mates, fantastic attitude, and a great player. Our only player willing to consistently take on defenders and use his pace to beat opposing FBs. He's in my top-3 for MOM virtually every match. Invaluable to the team.
Cannot argue with any of that; may be a bit predictable going forward at times, but invariably Elmo ends up occupying at least 2 of the opposition with his threat down the right. What is encouraging is that we seem a bit more balanced on the left as well now, with Robertson, Quinn and Brady all natural left footers and quite capable of providing a bit of craft down that side. Last season, with Brady out, we were left with the erratic Figueroa, Rosenior having to cut in on his right foot, and then with Meyler also out of position on the left side of midfield. We must have had the most lop-sided attack in the league. What we now need is obviously another striker, but also a midfielder who makes those late runs into the box to get on the end of all of these crosses that we can now get in from both sides, or at least be on the edge of the box to pick up the pieces. Hope to see Livermore do more of this more often as he definitely has the energy to get up and down the pitch.
