Elmo has been called up for Egypt's friendly against Mali on 14 August. Not sure where the match is to be played, but if he has to jet around the world it wont be ideal 4 days before the season kicks off
The game is being played in Casablanca and it's only a friendly, it's a farce. We're no better, Scotland will be kicking lumps out of England that night too.
At least we have another quality player in that position in Rosenior. Still a disgrace to have matches that close to the start of the season.
I can't imagine Boyd or Cairney kicking lumps out of anyone. Particularly as they probably won't be on the pitch.
The full 29 man squad is... Goalkeepers: Matt Gilks (Blackpool) David Marshall (Cardiff City) Allan McGregor (Hull City) Defenders: Gordon Greer (Brighton and Hove Albion) Steven Hammell (Motherwell) Grant Hanley (Blackburn Rovers) Alan Hutton (Aston Villa) Russell Martin (Norwich City) Charlie Mulgrew (Celtic) Andy Webster (Unattached) Steven Whittaker (Norwich City) Midfielders: Charlie Adam (Stoke City) Barry Bannan (Aston Villa) George Boyd (Hull City) Liam Bridcutt (Brighton and Hove Albion) Chris Burke (Birmingham City) Scott Brown (Celtic) Craig Conway (Cardiff City) Graham Dorrans (West Bromwich Albion) James Forrest (Celtic) Gary Mackay-Steven (Dundee United) Shaun Maloney (Wigan Athletic) James McArthur (Wigan Athletic) James Morrison (West Bromwich Albion) Robert Snodgrass (Norwich City) Forwards: Leigh Griffiths (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Steven Naismith (Everton) Kenny Miller (Vancouver Whitecaps) Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn Rovers)
All our call-up's so far... Ahmed Elmohamady is the latest member of the Tigers' squad to be called up for international duty. City's summer signing has been named in the Egypt squad to face Mali in an international friendly fixture on Wednesday 14th August. David Meyler, Robbie Brady, Stephen Quinn and Paul McShane have been selected in the Republic of Ireland’s 26-man provisional squad to face Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium, also on Wednesday 14th August. Meanwhile, Allan McGregor and George Boyd have been will join up with Scotland for an international friendly against England, which will be played at Wembley Stadium on the same night. http://www.hullcityafc.net/news/art...all-ups-july-955104.aspx?#VItQCaRq8EvyfG8D.99
Thankfully our Irish lads will probably only play 10 minutes if at all if their last few games are anything to go by. Unfortunately this is likely to be the game that **** decides to stick the lot on for a full 90.
