unlike most of the other clubs who have foreign owners i wonder if most safc realise just how lucky we are to have him.
we have a billionaire running safc with the best chairman in the country working with him, he is a quiet man and doent seem to stick his nose in the daily business of the team unlike some (blackburn for ex)
born 1960 that makes him 51 (hard paper round i guess) so he could be around for a long time, so lets all appreciate just what he has done for the club and hope he stays here for the long run.
these people dont become billionaires by chance he is a very shred man, if anyone reads about him it all comes clear.
here are two pictures for you to make you think just how shrewd

bent.jpg darren bent sold 24 million, thanks

skib.jpg skibo castle, private members 23million

the best run club in the land with good people from top to bottom

Yeah I think your spot on commachio. Dont want to bring up the old debate on Quinn and missing fans but when you see what he has put in the structure of the club from top to bottom maybe people should have a good think about the choice of going to the game or watching it in the pub. It was what Ellis and the rest of the top team have done that made me come up to the Spurs game from Rossendale along with my twin daughters. Forget the cost it's about us all being in it together and if everyone who chooses to watch in the pub just turned up to match a few times a season it would make a big difference. Ellis Niall and co would then see that the magic carpet ride is being bought into by us fans when we can

He's very shrewd and I hope that he stays with Niall and Brucey and we'll have lots of good times ahead.

I like the fact that he isn't very publicly involved in the club. The chairman and manager should be the faces of the club (aside from the players and, in our case, a certain Mr. Miliband!), but the owner should keep a respectful distance. From what I've seen of him, he's a good bloke, and it looks like he won't simply throw millions at the club, we now operate as a business rather than a circus.

yes the ellis-quinn-bruce combo works very well, they seem to know their place and stick to it without tampering in other areas.

    Long may it continue.

I always as a younger man thought it would have been a Millie lad, sir Tom Cowie, who would be the MAN, strange how life turns out.
maybe the folks of this wonderful town of ours, DONT go at me for it being a city, we are still townspeople, never got above ourselves
as city dwellers, like the Cockneys / Brummies / Mancs, no offence meant, because they have always been city dwellers............ history...........
we as a new city, never realy subscribed to the city idea, to me we are, in my mind, were the biggest ship building town in the world, and the biggest town in europe.
Plain in your face, friendly folks, and I think thats what the owner and chairman has recognised, not bland folks but individuals, whose face you can remember,
ALWAYS LOVED MY TOWN ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,still do,
