Eliot Richard has signed a new contract which is great news: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17868351 Also, I was told an amusing story by a friend who is close to the Rover's backroom staff, you may have heard it before, but it made me chuckle. It's about that last home game that ****le took charge of - the debacle against Crewe. If you remember, at the end of the match ****le had to walk the width of the pitch from dugout to tunnel with some of the foulest and most vociferous abuse that I've ever heard at a Rovers match ringing in his ears. He got back into the changing room and immediately started effing and jeffing about '****ing Bristolian ****s who can all go and **** themselves' etc. etc. At that point, Phil Kite, a proud Bristolian who had had enough of the stunted twat's abuse, stormed over, picked him up and pinned him against the wall, with his little legs dangling in mid-air. Phil told him in no-uncertain terms to desist and told him what would happen if he didn't. So, it was either sack Phil Kite or sack ****le. And the rest, as they say, is history......
...and that's a true story! (Not the only exchange of words between the two. Kite v ****le....now who's your money on?!) Good news about Richards; and it's a 2 year contract. MM is careful with his praise and says that Richards has to make football his lifestyle...wise words. I'm glad Ollie Clarke has a 1 year contract. The little I've seen of him is encouraging.
