I thought Eliot Richards was the pick of a great bunch today. Rovers really made Burton look like relegation fodder today and I don't think many teams in this league could live with them playing like that. There's so much confidence and dare I say ability in the side at the moment that I can't see this side getting beaten by anyone. It would be great to see Ellis Harrison get a few more starts because he's got this fearless enthusiasm and loads of ability. Today there were so many threats from so many areas that Burton were making loads of errors. It really was great stuff. It's a very long time since I have enjoyed watching Rovers as much as I have since Christmas. If Eliot can string a few more of those sorts of performances together he'll be a very valuable player indeed.
Eliot came to life when Tounkara came on. He'd done ok up 'til then but when the big bloke came on creating mayhem Richards got more space and enjoyed himself. Interesting to see who starts on Wednesday!
thanks for the info. as i wasnt there, all i can rely on is the radio (and so many times they talk total crap instead of actually commentating) and from those who actually went to the game. i didnt hardly hear richards name being mentioned on the radio but im glad he played well. good to see the local lads come through and do well.
