The wheels keep turning which gives me a more positive gut reaction to this early stage of a long campaign and it would appear the Lee had targets in his mind and went for it. Nine goals in two games looks good, but only if you can keep up the effort against the inevitably better prepared squads. Nonetheless a good start to our season.
An intriguing signing this - it'll be interesting to see what opportunity he gets and what impact he can make. On the one hand, he's young and in a new country and a new league, so you'd expect him to be phased in slowly, though on the other, he's coming from a club having already played half a season, so he should be match-fit and ready from the off. I'd expect him on the bench regularly in the coming weeks, coming on with 10-20 minutes to go. Seems as though Engvall is heading back to Djurgarden. It makes sense that he gets regular game time, rather than a bit-part role with us, but it's looking increasingly like he's not going to 'make it' at City. It is what it is, and from what I've seen so far, it's hard to argue that Diedhiou shouldn't be our undisputed no. 1 striker, but I can't help but feel like we might be missing a trick.
