With Plymouth now having a Labour Council.........will there be any changes regarding it's association with PAFC ?
For the first time ever I could not bring myself to vote for anyone so didn't. Shocking really as I have always felt it a duty more than anything. No shocks at the result really and probably not much change for the City either. I got one leaflet through my letterbox which was from Labour. I got nothing at all from anyone else and nobody bothered to ring my doorbell either. And they complain that we aren't interested.............
I remember when I was little they used to come around in their cars decked out with speakers and you could hear them in the next road, they then used to call at every house. I don't think I've ever had a call from one in the last 30+ years. I did vote but only because I was obliged to vote by proxy for my son who is in the armed forces so whilst there I cast my own vote. I wasn't sorry to see Viv Pengelly go tbh.
The council's of course - or rather the council tax payers'. I don't think PAFC will go that way financially while Brent's in charge although it remains to be seen what can be achieved on the field. I think talk of promotion is somewhat premature given we escaped relegation through discipline & effort rather than genius. I am hopeful though!
You have to be hopeful notdistant or there is no point in it all. I care more about the next season for Argyle than I do about the election results.
Conservatism is wearing a condom and Labour is what happens when you don't..........Green is when you have been visiting a dubious port in the third world and didn't do the first one.
