She reverses first to make sure she has the angle to avoid him, and drives off fairly carefully. Obviously as soon as she's shot in the head her body goes limp and foot goes down on the accelerator due to weight and gravity. And he doesn't jump out of the way, as you would if someone was really driving at you, he draws his gun and starts blasting instead.
And then they all just walk off, job done I guess.
