You must log in or register to see images
Well as long as you’re not too bothered by it lol

Thus ****ing shameful ...

... for me, if you are not disabled, you should be out doing volunteer work at the very least ... get nothing 'from the system' unless you are putting something in
..
Thing was we use to keep the kids in school to further their education if they didn't have a job, however, we made further education unafforable for them, that would be the simplest solution for 16-18 year olds.

As for jobs for their age, we've destroyed the hospitality sector places constantly closing down.

We replaced the youngster on the tills with self check-outs, we replaced the kids in a picking warehouse with robots, Erith a good example of that where order picking now has been replaced by 2,300 bots.

Also Solid might know I don't think they are allowed to do voluntary work if claiming benefits.

It's always the get of jail card for politicians to blame the kids on benefits rather than what put them there. I'm sure most those kids would prefer working if given the right kind of support.

certainly used to be able to . in fact it was encouraged as it could be used to show a prospective employer they had real world work experience , but the aim was to get people back into real work as much as possible rather than paying them benefits while spent 8 hrs in age concern .
Mind you my last direct dealing with unemployed peeps was in 1988 after that my "knowledge" was down to being in an office which contained a Jobcentre

Football should bring people together, not shut them out.For the first time since the competition began, fans won’t be able to watch the Champions League final for free. That’s not right. This is bigger than wanting to watch Arsenal in this historic final. It’s bigger than one club.Hardworking people shouldn’t have to fork out for a subscription to watch this match.I urge TNT Sports to reconsider and make the final next Saturday free to watch.

personally think why should they as they forked out ****loads to get the coverage . could offer a 1 night subscription at a say a £5 but everyone knew they had the rights and anyway their are other ways to see it

I expect no one has bothered to inform Keir or he hasn't done his research, you could actually watch all three finals, Villa, Palace and Arsenal for £4.99 on one month subscription of HBO Max.

That's what i've done, and you can have up to 2 devices, so you can share it within your family. @duggie2000 said the Villa one was free on Virgin Media, not sure if that will also apply to the CL Final.

I agree with Starmers point, but think I got more the hump with the FA Cup rounds being on TNT.

The serious Arsenal fans are there, the semi-serious Arsenal fans are in the pub and everyone else is streaming it. It’s a disgrace how little sport is free to air.

I was originally going to go to the pub, because I just refuse to give TNT £30 of my money to watch one game, it was only the CL Final I was interested in. But after a bit of research online, I think it was the Daily Mirror I came across that told you how to get all three finals for a fiver.

I liked it last season when Amazon put some games up for ppv £2.99, I don't mind paying that if there is something I really want to see.

Got TNT free with Virgin ... and BT had to match for me to switch... but everything is a rip-off these days to be sure ...

I did think of switching to BT, not sure if I can get Virgin where I am, never use to be able to and I refuse to allow them to come into the house to work on it. Engineer phoned me up one day, goes Talktalk have book him to come to me, but I suspect you are not expecting me or wanting me to come - they know before they get here. <laugh>

I use to have Freesat, but it went down and ive never really made a concerted effort to see what's wrong with it, so my Chromecast gets me by. HBO Max I tried the other day with the Villa game, much better picture than SKY (Now TV). I read something with SKY that they are trying to put too many channels on so few bands or whatever the proper terminology is...

I think they want you to use / change to SKY Stream, SKY Glass.

Lol, not really I think it was all to do when Boris was PM and he said something about everyone having high speed internet. Talktalk then started pushing it for their customers to be upgraded, I'd already declined it, so then they went the route of offering it for free along with the work to get installed, because it meant them coming in and drilling holes and new cables, and I'm like I don't even want or need this ****. So then they got the engineers to do the tactics of cold calling. Not only that as soon as they've given me the upgrade, you can guarantee the price for broadband when up for renewal will go up to £40 a month and I refuse to get sucked into it. Different if I've got teenagers still living in the house but I don't have - so I don't need bells and whistles for the sake of it, just so they can get me to pay an extra £20 a month.

If by watching it, you mean you can “stream it across two devices”. Bollocks to that, I want to watch it on telly.

I once paid £8 I think, to watch Saints vs Swansea on Now TV. Utter ****ing rip off imo., eventually I worked out that I couldn’t watch it on telly, but my laptop kept freezing so **** that.

Old Gits like me shouldn’t have to fight the internet in order to watch the Cup Final (any Cup Final) on the box where it’s supposed to be.

You watch it on TV if it has the app for HBO Max, which is the same for TNT or what use to be BT Sport. So however you are watching those last two (if you do) it's the same.

If you don't have the app you can Chromecast it to your tv from your phone if you have the device that allows that to happen.

Like with all sports events these days, you do need a reasonably decent broadband connection. NOW TV works fire for me btw, but that's not what I'm using for the European finals.

Edit: Chromecast is not counted as a device in your two devices, your phone would be and it leaves one other device for a family member etc. To make that a bit clearer, when you Chromecast, that device, the phone and TV all count as one device, as it requires all three to work.

Otherwise @Archers Road I'm sure there will be a pub or eatery near you that will be showing it, buy a lemonde for yourself and a shandy for the Mrs it'll be sorted for the night.

I remember going in a boozer one year to watch the Champions League, and when I got in there **** knows what channel the tv was on but it wasn't the match warm up. So I went to the bar and said before I buy a drink you putting the game on, which they agreed they were just about to put it on.

I remember some guy I got chatting to during the game, decided to light a cigarette up, so that kicked off a bit with the bar manager and people - stupid part was the guy was only about half dozen steps from the door where he could smoke and still see the tv through the window. I had a polite word with him to calm things down.
