Forget Sheffield Wednesday lads! (Yes, I know it's hard) But it's time to let it go. Well done Eldin!
It should have been let go about a month after it happened. I knew he'd prove me right and I'm pleased to see that he's doing exactly what I told everybody he is capable of.
Nice shot-stopper but he's very unconvincing under crosses - absolutely no way is he among the two best keepers at the club, in my opinion.
Aye if all 3 are fit he's still 3rd choice. I'm glad he's come through it like but lets not go over the top.
Up your own arse much? I have to agree with Tuckin. Good shot stopper definitely, but if teams put more crosses in against us then we'll suffer. Good performance overall though and he seems to be handling pressure better to be fair to him. Glad to have him as a stand in and I'd give him the cup games.
When he had his run he was great. We all raved about him. Then he displayed butter fingers and couldn't catch a ball. He is great or ****. He has never been bad, just his howlers howl!
Had a great game but I'm not gonna go overboard and **** over him like some certain people on here because of one good game. Still shouldn't be near the pitch IMO.
This, though I would have him as second choice, as Harpers age is showing and anything that's not in his immediate reach will go in. His body isn't quick enough to go flying across goal making a mid air fingertip save anymore. In all honesty we need a new first choice keeper. Edit: just to add he gave away a chance by flapping at a cross and knocking it right to their players feet which SHOULD have been a goal could Liverpool have hit a bus on a bandstand with a biscuit barrel.
I was beginning to think that - but then Harper made a save last week that I think McGregor wouldn't have got to. Harper's excellent initial preparation and footwork enabled him to dive at the right time and get good purchase on the leap - technically better than McGregor, if less agile.
I see him as being like the setter in a volleyball match. He just punches the ball into the danger area ready for the opposition striker to spike it into the net (metaphorically).
I'd still say he was our 3rd choice keeper. Played well today but as others have said, balls into the box concern me, he almost never claims a cross. Having said that, De Gea was the same when he first came to the Premier League but I don't think we're in a position to give Jak the game time required to iron out the deficiencies in his game.
He's a bit poor under crosses but he seems to do just enough. Deserves a place on the bench when everyone's fit for me
