Yesterday, Spanish 3rd division side Eldense announced they were ending their season early and ceasing all sporting activity, after losing 12-0 to Barcelona B. Immediately after the game, Eldense's Cheikh Saad accused his teammates of match-fixing - "I know who they are but I can not tell yet." Eldense's head coach, Filippo di Pierro, has just been arrested after being accused of rigging the game. He's Italian, obviously. please log in to view this image
More an expectation than tradition. It's only a matter of time before it explodes again, probably be AC this time or another of the big clubs agreeing to take the relegation. Juv took their hit so they're now being allowed time at the top. The Cosa Nostra decide the result of every match. FACT.
Not even close... There's a team in Argentina called Deportivo Moron. There's a team in Norway called Fotballaget Fart (their nickname is simply 'Fart') and their ground is known as the 'Fartbana'. There's even a team in Peru called Deportivo ****a.
Don't forget the classic headline after a bit of a kerfuffle involving Young Boys Of Bern whose stadium is named the ****dorf Stadium "Young Boys in ****dorf storm!".
**** me, statues have more movement than that Eldense team. They 'were' actually getting paid to be that bad? They'd struggle in Div 10 of Sunday League.
