First foray into the Cheese during this lockdown last night. No draught, so limited to cans of Carling.
Nah. Luvgonzo was supposed to have posted a pic on here last night. A photo of me in the Cheese holding a can of Jurgen Klopp Erdcinger weiss beer
The projection is that Warrington will be in tier 2 when this particular lockdown finishes on 2nd December. This means that pubs have to have a substantial food offering to be able to open. As you've probably all gathered by now, The Cheese isn't renowned for its food offering I was in there last night and this is set to change It has to really, if the gaff isn't to shut down for good. Initially, it was going to be scotch eggs, pies and sausage rolls, but the landlord's area manager says this won't be sufficient. The menu will therefore consist of: Various Ploughman's Lunches - cheese, ham, pie, scotch egg, sausage roll etc Stew and crusty bread You buy a meal and you're then eligible for four pints. He's charging cost for the food and if you want another four pints, you have to have another meal. I've never liked ploughman's lunches and I'm very fussy about stew. Looks like I'll just pay the premium for the beer We'll probably be in tier 3 after all that
