just saying if you contact someone and they give you a list of thanks but then don't reconnect then you've limited options big time. in this market...well... let.me just say they wanted a European wide packaging type r&d/ customer face bod. I didn't sound too interested but they won't find 10 candidates in this market. I could prob look for thst job and still find it's open
Recruitment consultants are cattle farmers, they obtain and sell meat. I’d wager whoever rang you had at least a couple of hotter prospects on file for that role, hence his lack of response. Piss poor from a professional prospective like, but that game has gone right downhill from what it was maybe 20 years ago. Most do their ‘research’ for clients on CV sites.
True. They work for the hiring company. They fish on LinkedIn especially and there's an explosion of recruiters plus they now move about as well. I will only go to one and one guy I know cos he's got the real.jobs and if he pits you in you've a shot at least. anyway I googled the company and the position i was contacted for is still up. who knows maybe I ghosted the guy with my cv. I can't recall.
i have used that linkedin and all i get is ruddy Asians wanting to add me ffs i assume its a good marketing tool to have?
Don't tar everyone in this game with the same brush. As said, most are ****s, but not all, including me.
if your details get out at all or you like or comment on the wrong thing you can be plagued. my position is x and obviously they'd.like to sell me stiff or offer services as I could make decisions so i would get probably 3 recruiters a week and probably 5 randomers seeking to connect. I don't do much on it really but I'd post the odd time or like others stiff in my direct circle. I'm 500+ connects just from collegues without being a good networker
you still refer to the company hiring as the client. people don't seem to understand that when they contact an agency. do you get a lot of prospective plebs contacting you or do you have to hunt like **** these days?
It's getting harder all the time. Good people go very quickly and it doesn't help when clients drag their heels.
Lot's of machinations going on about the future of The Cheese going on yet again. It was going to be closing again first week in July, but there's now some doubt. The current tenants have had enough, but the brewery aren't letting them quit saying they'll have to see out their lease. Apparently there are other interested pasties though. **** knows who
obviously the brewery is not carling or there'd be no issue here clearly people don't drink whatever swill it is thats running the place.
It's not really a 'brewery'. It's a property firm that owns pubs and rents them out. They don't brew any beer, the ****s.
