Had a read and sadly I don't think it is a wind up. I get the sentiments but I don't get the need for him to actually put it down in print as if it is a pep talk to the masses. He's hardly Winston Churchill is he with his "Fight them on the Beaches" speech. From what I've seen all season at Home Park and heard about the away contingents, none have had a go at the team on the park or even the manager either. People have voiced their opinions on websites but they are entitled to have an opinion. I just don't think it was necessary to make a speech at all.

All the rousing of the Argyle fans to get behind the team..........the big flag displayed every home game........none of it raises the home performance one jot.

What happens preparing the team during the week, and from the dugout during the match does matter far more.

Mr President had a couple of spare hours once settled into his hotel room before the evening awards ceremony........so spent it with his "come on the troops" speech.

More importantly Sue became supporter of the year........well done Sue.
