Thanks for asking. Had a bottle of Chateau Batailley 02, which I bought en primeur. Sold a mate some at £20 a bottle as got loads of it. Was on the Herradura last night. Delicious: do you like tequila?
Does anyone actually like Tequilla? I associate it with falling over, so it's a no from Tobes. Excuse my ignorance but what does en primeur mean? When it was released?
Before it is bottled. Good tequila is smokey, lovely like a good single malt. As is good mescal. A sipping rather than downing, drink.
You must have a sizeable cellar then mate? I've always enjoyed wine but can't have the Sommelier level bollocks talked about it. A decent bottle is a decent bottle to me.
I've been talking with GM on another thread about good rum, just got myself a good bottle for Christmas. I'm very excited.
I've tried Ocho Blanco and yes it is better than the crap you get in the supermarket but still nothing special, I wouldn't want to pay too much for a tequila.
That’s the whole point of wine, and many other things. It matters not how often some expert or connoisseur tells me something is the dog’s nuts and I should love it, if don’t like it, I don’t like it...
Not too bad, as it happens. There’s a cheeky little Malbec that I always have with my surf ‘n’ turf. Thanks for asking.
