Hi all, first time post on here so please be gentle.
Im a season ticket holder and have been for many years but today will leave a very bitter taste in my mouth for a very long time.
Now i want to state that i am no thug and never have been,I just have the desire to get behind our beloved club.
After about 30 minutes of the game today two stewards came up the steps of sk3 to ask or demand that a group of supporters sat down. After a brief exchange of words,to which i was not involved,i decided to pop down to the toilet. What i was confronted with following that toilet break can only be described as laughable.I was confronted by EIGHT stewards and accused of persistant standing. The fact that i was sitting for 25 of those minutes did not seem to matter. Now maybe on another day this may be the case and i am the first to admit that but when three rows in front are standing then what do you do,now i would like to say that this is the end of the matter but NO.
I was ejected from the ground, much to the delight of some of the stewards around me.Then things get worse,my season ticket is taken from me and i am told that i am banned for next three home games.
ok,fine ,take it on the the chin and move on,i would love to BUT the conduct of the match day control is becoming a joke.
Following my ejection from the ground i phoned my 14 year old son who i sit with to tell him that i was the lowest of the low and that i could not attend the next 3 games. This, as you can imagine did not go down that well but he came out to meet me and that was the end of the matter,or so i thought.
My son asked if he could stay to watch rest of the game to which i replied yes,as we have family that sit near or around us so no worries there.
During the halftime break he is then also ejectedr because he left the stadium and re-entered it.OK no worries but he was told by a steward that he could make contact with me and then come back in.
Has this club completely lost the plot.My lad is a big lad for his age but throwing a 14 year old kid onto the street is taking the piss.
Now i know a few will say he is 14 he is not a baby but in the eyes of the law he is still a minor and just to make matters worse another family member who i contacted to look after my lad was also ejected for having the guts to question the stewards.
I have been on to a few different forums this evening and it seems that the club had it in for certain section of fans today.I just wanted your thoughts on this issue.I am sorry if this seems like an over reaction but my cash is as good as the next bloke so please be honest.
I am expecting a mixed bag of comments but from what i have been told by others today this seems to be normal from this week during low profile games,by that i mean a low risk of trouble.
Has anybody else had the same trouble or am i having a very bad day?
