After two good wins on the road its back to Adams Park for the Chairboys and we will be looking to continue our good form for the visit of the Valiants, while we are putting all our efforts into getting into the automatic promotion places come May 5th the Valiants are at the wrong end of the table six points off the drop zone and are on a poor run of form having not won in 2018 but having said that they have drawn seven games this year and their last win was a impressive 4-0 hammering of the Hatters at Vale Park on 30th December.. Gaz will be hoping Luke O'Nien will be fit after he spent 90 mins being kicked off the park on Wednesday Blooms is likely to come in for Beano, PCH and CMS could start as Gaz is likely to return to a 4-3-3 formation. Slasher and I will be going to this one hoping we can put a winning run together at home as well as away to cement our place in the promotion positions with another three points come 5pm
Harriman is back!! He's on the bench. Thompson starts as O'Nien is injured and Freeman replaces Blooms so it's 4-3-3 again.
Another 2pts dropped at home can we play away for the rest of the season. Most of us on here would have been happy with 4pts over the last two games. With Mansfield & Swindon losing & Lincoln drawing not all bad news.
One of the poorest displays from the match officials I have seen in a long time and I hope its a very long time before Lee Swabey darkens our door again Bayo spent the entire game being manhandled by the two centre back and nearly every time a free kick was given against him the lino at our end was equally incompetent couldn't see when the ball had gone out of play and when he did couldn't decide who to give the it to there was a blatant pen not spotted by the man in the middle with the white stick Vale came for a 0-0 and got what they came for against the increasingly tied looking Chairboys we missed Luke enormously lets hope he is back for Friday on the plus side it was good to see Harriman back on the bench
Let's hope we don't look back on this game as the one that lost us promotion. We dropped 2 very important points there.
As posted earlier it's disapointing after the win on Wednesday, on here we all thought a point at Crawley & home win against Port Vale 4pts we just got the points the other way round & Vale have now drawn 5 games out of the last six
Another good result for us at Chesterfield we do seem to be having a bit of luck with other teams results
