Full interview in tomorrow's Fail, topics to include the January window, the Steve Bruce factor, long-term financial plans and falling attendances(courtesy of Mr Buckingham). Should be worth a read.
Certainly not very often. I just tried to get some advanced info, but Phil was having none of it... Originallambrettaman @origlambman @PJBuckingham I'm allergic to paper, can you just tell me what he said now? Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham @origlambman All will be revealed in good time.
* ooh, you forgot to add "especially yours". that would have made him laugh and then tell you everything.
I am more than interested in what Ehab says the club will do to fill the empty seats. Reduce un-sold tickets to say £10 ffs. Lets get bums on seats for a change. So what if i am paying more than many will. Lets get the KC full. Nice to hear that both the Lesta and TWS games should be sell outs. A serious problem if they are not. Anyone know of people who no longer go to home games but go to all the away games. By that i mean people who live in or around Hull. Heard of some people who will no longer attend the KC due to the stewards and how they operate home games. Hhhhmmmm..............
don't beat yourself up about it. when you get to my age the best things to say sometimes don't come to you until weeks later.
Hmm, looking at these random symbols has reminded me to ask if anyone has seen such a ridiculous log-in caption as this one that YouTube gave me: please log in to view this image
I particularly like this one. please log in to view this image Back on topic though, I don't think there'll be a lot in this interview. They always turn out to be pretty underwhelming when we get these 'Allam interview tomorrow' tweets. George Hudson recently spoke at an OSC function in Beverley basically saying that he is our entire marketing department and without help he can't spread the word very well. He said the club had learnt from last year's season ticket renewals farce and will get them out in February this time, but for some reason they're planning on turning people away after a certain point in the summer.
I hate those - most of them you can't decipher anyway. They may as well give you a two fingered salute.
Falling attendances? - last two games were up on those before - they're down at least 10-15% at almost every NPC ground (excepting Brighton) - the reasons are well documented on this board - reducing prices now will upset a lot of season pass holders (not me though) .. clearly need to sort it out next season although prices are to be announced in March or April and will allow supporters to pay by 9 or so direct debit payments after an initial deposit.
I'm doing marketing at Uni and did some stuff for George this summer, he really does have next to no help and does a great job IMO. I also think that if the Allam's backed him and his ideas with some more cash then the ground would be a lot more full than it is.
Our Saviour "One Assem Allam!!, there's only one Assem Allam, One Assem Allam, there's only one Assem Allam!!!"
Looks like the Allams are in full support, if Bruce needs to buy. (Something a bit different from the Barmby 'affair'!) http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-17565506-detail/story.html?
Same, what would have happened if he hadn't have stepped in... When it says, "Due to the FFP regulations which come in next Season, this is the last chance for the Allams to bank promotion". What does it actually mean? That it's going to be trouble financially if we don't or that all teams can't spend more than the other making Promotion more of an equal chance?
