Whilst the Western world believes we have problems with a player kicking a ball from beneath a ballboy elsewhere serious problems are occurring. 21 fans have been sentenced to death over the riots that killed 74 people last year. I'm not asking people to debate the death penalty etc but the most disheartening for me was seeing the scenes of fans celebrating the verdict in the street and dancing around the streets partying as fans of the rival club were sentenced to death. In England, football is pretty tribal but a line is drawn when it comes to life and death. I can't envisage any situation whereby I'd be happy to see the death of say.... a Spurs or an Arsenal/West Ham/Leeds/Liverpool fan etc, that's not just me as a person but I also respect that these people are just like me and when all is said and done football isn't life or death. In a world when PC has gone too far in the West, it seems non-existent in many Eastern parts. I just can't get those scenes out of my head.
Political correctness has not gone too far. A footballer not playing for a few weeks harms literally no one. To even mention it in the same article as the events in Egypt is a disgrace.
What happened in Egypt has nothing to do with football, it was a religious based riot pure and simple, that just happened to take place in a football stadium. The sentences are commensurate with the crime in that Culture, but will almost certainly be reduced.
Yes I can, and I see no reason at all why you had to insert your agenda of the Hazard incident being "political correcteness going too far." I could write the exact same article starting instead "Whilst the Western world believes we have problems with a player missing a few games for violent conduct elsewhere serious problems are occurring..." but that would also be disgustingly opportunistic.
Astrotufnut. You are so wrong, so very wrong. You have posted so much bile on this board it is beyond me to even think what you do for a living, and your family are surely in danger, that's if you have any. Anyone with such a distorted sense of reallity is a danger to those around them and should be locked up.
Astrotufnut is, as we communicate petitioning Lord Chief Justice of Legoland to build a prison of red and white bricks to hold the scurolous bastard, that is Hazard. The FA has sanctioned this action and has funds released for it's procurement.
Obviously haven't read my posts. I said from the very start he should get 4 games, and it looks like that's what he will get.
I have read all your post's and they amount to bile of the highest order. You have no concept of reality and continue to wum on the Chelsea board, "walk away in short jerky movements" is the best advice I can give you at the present time.
Any opportunity to score points, you mug, for you agenda of wumming, Astro. Even when people have died. You probably use Hillsborough to score points too
This astro guy is probably the worst poster I have ever seen on a football forum. (and yes I am posting again). Literally every post he has made in the last few days has been about Hazard. He is totally obsessed with what is literally a guy kicking a football out from under some guy who was laying on top of it, he is like a dog with a bone. I seriously wonder how he functions in normal life, since his posts seem to indicate a lack of basic brain function that most of us take for granted. What a plonker! I think the point DL was making is that we are making a big fuss over a nothing incident in the PL, where as in Egypt, people are being killed at football matched and supporters are being sentenced to death for inciting riots.
It's people like him that are everything that's wrong with Britain. The type that want people behind bars for wolf whistling at a Woman or nicking a Freddo from the local newsagent.
Can I just add, that I would gladly see a Gooner swing for his crimes. I'd even pull the lever, and I'd be singing "Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur!" as the fellow kicked and jerked his last in the darkness. I'm not saying that all Gooners should be sentenced to death, just most of them. You Chelsea boys, I'd probably let off lightly with 30 years hard labour. Except for Ozzie, whom I would sentence to community service, doing menial tasks in and around WHL. He'd love that.
