My name is Wendoverman and I have a confession to make.

I got some free tickets for the Wasps game on Sunday. I have never been to the rugby before and as it was free...I thought I would check out what the fuss is about. I know...I know...I hang my head in shame. I have to say, having been at the Cobblers game the day before, I was most unimpressed. Despite the bigger crowd I did not really notice that much of an increase in atmosphere and the game, which has never really attracted me on the telly box, was alarmingly unexciting despite the huge score the Wasps racked up. Them coming out to cheers as 'London Wasps' felt very strange and unnatural and the announcer spent much of the time plugging their next 'home' game at Twickers. What sort of situation is that?
It made me more unwilling to accept the stadium move on the back of an alien sport than I was before. The people we were near have no interest in the traditions or history of Wycombe Wanderers. Footy, even at League Two level, is far more exciting. Perhaps I missed the point (I'm not a great fan of Cricket either), but it did nothing for me.
Just thought I would share this with the group.

    Oi Rocky.....
I went to see England on a freebie not Wasps, however, it is true that I have been unwell ever since.

I thought the pitch was looking quite nice on Saturday, presumably that's been ruined now then!

May I be first to congratulate the football fans who battered the two wasps players at the Walkabout pub in Shepherd's Bush Green on Monday night.<laugh>

Thankfully that was Wasps last home match of the season at AP so hopefully the pitch will be fine for the Crewe and Southend games

I have been to the rugby and seen it all before, it's a nonsense sport nothing on football, atmosphere entertainment & excitment don't come close in comparison!

WWFC & football all day long, couldn't care less about Wasps
