Season ticket holders at each club will be able to watch matches free of charge (as part of their season ticket benefits) whilst those wishing to purchase on a match by match basis will be able to for a fee of £10 with no Saturday 3pm blackouts.

EFL clubs are all reported to be hopeful that the revenue raised from these games will offset the revenue lost whilst stadiums are shut or even opening on a restricted capacity basis.

It will be the first time that a whole season of games have been available to those in the UK and the first time that a full deal has been struck to allow – in particular – Saturday 3pm kick offs to be shown via official channels.

The decision could well prove to be a lifeline for many clubs who have been so badly impacted by the loss of income since football shut down in March with clubs in Leagues One and Two not having kicked a ball in competitive anger since.

I’m assuming then that Sky interactive red button for the midweek games won’t happen as they did during the return after lockdown.

I should get a rebate of Sky now.
