They earned their trip, having beaten Middlesbrough 1-0 a fortnight ago, and will relish the chance to play their West Yorkshire neighbours. The Tykes sit 58 places below Leeds, occupying 16th place in the third tier of English football, with two wins and three losses under their belts. Following their 3-0 victory over Chelsea on Sunday, Leeds Manager Jesse Marsch is likely to change the entire line-up to rest his senior players and give youth a chance. Goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson has shaken off a knock, and is likely to be selected ahead of new arrival Joel Robles. Cody Drameh, Leo Hjelde, Darko Gyabi, Sam Greenwood, Archie Gray, Joe Gelhardt, Crysencio Summerville, Mateo Joseph and Sean McGurk are all expected to play a part in proceedings as are the more familiar names of Mateusz Klich, Adam Forshaw and Luis Sinisterra. It is hoped that Liam Cooper will make the bench. Having lost at home 3-0 against Wycombe at the weekend, Barnsley Manager Michael Duff must decide whether to stick or twist. Whilst a Cup campaign can bring in some much-needed revenue, and temporarily lift morale; their league position suggests that three points next weekend at Ipswich Town is more important. Liam Kitching and Clarke Oduor could both start for Barnsley, on their return to Elland Road.
We surely will play the bench here. maybe Coops will get 45mins too if he's fit enough. Klaesson- Drameh- Hljede- Forshaw-Klich-Greenwood-Sinisterra-Summerville-Gelhardt surely will all be in and about. some of the young guns can fill the bench or even start Gyabi-Gray-Perkins-Joesph etc. Really depends on how serious we take this but I'm expecting massive changes.
I'd pick a mix. ------------------Robles -------------Koch-----Struijk Dramah------------------------Hjelde -------Forshaw---Greenwood James--------Klich--------Sinisterra ----------------Gelhardt
For a pleasant change, massive team changes and we should still win. It would be nice to chase a Wembley appearance, keeping the winning momentum should be a must but I’m equally as happy to see virtually a fresh starting 11
Always a challenge to get the balance right. You want to be able to blood a bit of youth, keep squad members fit and motivated. But you also need to stay in the competition so you can continue to do this over a number of games. Other than sending them out on loan, cup competitions are the only way of seeing whether these players can cut it it in competitive football… assuming the opposition aren’t blooding kids too! I’d be expecting Sundays bench to pretty much all start. They are, after all, all meant to be good enough to play if called on.
Bit surprised sky went for the Newcastle game rather than a Yorkshire derby. Do they still do the red button feature?
Possibly, I thought it was brought in before that but you’re probably right. I’ve noticed though that last season a day or so after the matches, you could download the whole game for every game sky had and watch back, now it’s only the 30 minutes highlights.

With the exception of Sinisterra that is the kind of lineup I would have expected us to field had we been relegated I think it is a very sensible lineup, I wouldn't say strong, should be favourites and strong enough to beat Barnsley you would hope This is where we hope players give Jesse a headache for Brighton
