Looking forward to the FA fining Man U for not controlling their players when crowding the ref to get Stephens booked........... Just sent this e-mail to the FA (26/02/17) Hello I will be awaiting news of the £20,000 fine the FA will impose on Manchester United for not controlling their players during the EFL Cup Final. The incident when several Manchester United players crowded the referee in an attempt to get Saints player Stephens booked was identical to the recent incident at The Emirates when Hull City was fined that same sum. Please forward this e-mail to the FA Ivory Tower HQ where the ‘friends of the top six teams’ congregate and tell them that ordinary football supporters will not be surprised by their next expected hypocrisy. Regards Their response (26/02/17): Dear Supporter, Thank you for contacting The Football Association. We will endeavour to respond to your query as soon as possible. As mentioned there are numerous precedents of clubs being fined for exactly the same behaviour (including Hull City at The Emirates this season). So will you please respond promptly to my question in order to allay any Regards Their response 04/03/17 Dear Supporter, Thank you for contacting The Football Association. First half summary, Southampton get a goal disallowed for offside (it wasn't) really good goal from a free kick by the kung fu fighter Ibraimovic then another man utd goal by someone else. Garybaldy get one back for the saints. The Southampton fans turned up in their club colours, those at the other end could be from anywhere.
What? Man Utd had an offside decision wrongly go in their favour? Can't be. Never happens. I ****ing hate officials.
The rule has been changed so many times... we should go back to the good old days...... if youre offside, youre offside..............simples! all this "not interfering with play" **** too confusing if youre 30/40 yards away!
