Something strange has happened these past few days. There is a marked absence of the braying, strutting Magpies that normally are so common in these parts. Another thing, I've never seen so many children with burst balloons. Even the women are quiet as they sip their lattes; they almost seem to hide behind their giant cups. I shall venture into the vicinity of Sid James Park today for a Chinese meal on Stowell Street (where I shall order number 03 on the menu) and report back on the situation there.
To right mate. I work in Gateshead and while I don't get a lot of grief being a manager I have just walked around smirking all day. They think I'm high as a kite. Of course I'm not but I still feel like I am. It' been a pleasure going to work for a change. Love it.
Pont.Your so right mate.Long nay it continue. Im going for a job interview at 11 in Ryton My email address includes SAFC when I sent my CV in.Wonder if I got a chance lol
Don't worry fella, most employers are now equal opportunities so as well as ethnics, even people from deprived areas like Pennywell get a look in too.
If Pontsafc is from Ponteland, as I suspect(scratcheschinsmiley), I'd be grateful if he could pop in and get me mam to ring me as I can't get through, if that fails he'll probably get my brother in the Diamond tonight.
Sorry ACS I thought you lived at Consett - just if the earth had haemorrhoids they would be on Consett!
I live in Castleside, a small place on the outskirts of Consett.. but I'm originally a Yorkie lad mate. Consett is class mind...thoroughly decent folk. although it would be one of the most sought after cards in '**** town top trumps'.
It's not so many years ago that Steel producers in Consett made a fortune out of having haemorrhoids, most of them had piles of money.
When I saw the thread had one star I knew skunks must have been mentioned. The OP is spot on all the trolls are conspicuously missing they would have been all over this board like a rash if the result had went your way. (Well apart from the numpty Tash making a bellend of himself as usual!) As he hasn't had a go here yet was it you trying to make us cry with the thread ratings? Once again you have a go at Pennywell a long time ago I lived there and still have numerous friends who still live there in their OWN houses. None of whom have seen the inside of a benefit centre. All the scum were moved out years ago. By the way bonny lad people in glass houses and all that!
lived here nearly all my life but the local population have changed since the 60's/70's (although I suppose that can be said for anywhere). At one time you could safely leave your door open and the contents of your house would be safe - mind they might nick your door!
Afternoon MR. I haven't voted on a thread of any description in a long time, the whole anonymous star rating system is a load of pointless bollocks if you ask me. It's good that you managed to get out of Pennywell and indeed have friends there. We all need to do our bit for charity now and then. It's also good that they have their own houses now, this again seems like progress. Reference glass houses, we don't have that problem here in the land of hillbillies as all the glass windows were bricked through in the 80's when the steelworks closed. That's why we are all hard bastards who walk around in string vests when it is blizzarding... we're used to the cold.
Never have so many cocky gobshites been silenced so emphatically and decisively. To be fair the decent ones, who are very welcome on here, have engaged in the debate. The ones and we all know the ones in question, who come on regularly. to dish it out but can't take it back, have all but disappeared. When they return, just remind them of that scoreline.
Didn't manage to get out! Had to move to get work as the Tories decimated the NE which any Consett resident should know better than most. I picked up one of my mates from Pennywell a few months back and one of the other lads in the car made a crack as we were travelling down Hylton Road (Main thoroughfare through Pennywell.) about all the POSH cars, and they must all be drug dealers. He was only joking but left a bad atmosphere until the beer set in. Want to know where the drugs dealers live? They live in the poshest areas of Sunderland as they earn more than people who work.
When we got beaten off them, many moons ago, i ended up switching my phone off, on threenilday last week, i didnt send one text or make one phone call to my horse punching tolerated friends and it feels so good
Newcastle's Jonas Gutierrez says the derby defeat to Sunderland has created a mood worse than when the Magpies were relegated from the Premier League in 2009. The Argentinian midfielder has described how the 3-0 St James' Park defeat has caused his 'worse ever week' at the club and how the entire city is 'sad'. Magpies boss Alan Pardew has used St James' Park as the team's training base this week, breaking with their normal regime, and his side, who currently sit five points above the drop zone, travel to West Brom tomorrow needing points to guarantee Premier League survival. Unfortunately I'm away but will no doubt give the lads who said "easy win for us" "you lot have no chance" and my personal favourite "it's going to be another 5-1 cos you lot are useless" As for the two who like me thought a draw just the knowing smile.
me too, I can't look a gift horse in the mouth now without assuming the boxing stance... get a hard on when I see a horse box too. my dyslexic mate has just been arrested though as he's been going around punching whores in the mouth.
