I Know that this is controversial, but i'm going to say it anyway. Eden is way off the pace at the moment. He had one good dribble against Newcastle and absolutely no other meaningful contribution in the game. I realise that he is being double marked after last year's performances but even so he has been absolute gash so far this season. For anyone to say that he is the third best player in the world at the moment is a bad joke. I honestly think he should be dropped from the team at the moment. I see on BBC website that Real want him, well in my opinion take him, and get big money in. His confidence is at an all time low (penalty against Maccabi) and i think because he was at the centre of the Eva affair he is pissed off with the current situation. Please, Eden, prove me wrong and start playing the way we know you can. Having said that, does Eden read posts on Not 606....probably not !!!

He's off to Real Madrid anyway so don't waste time worrying about him.

true, its a problem. he's not creating. i''d rather have willian in his spot, if nothing else to get a bit more urgency going

i reckon we pack him off to jamaica for a few days brendan style.

lol what the **** do you know? how many chelsea games have you watched this year?

this season willian's scored more and had more of an impact (not hard) than hazard. the only reason he was benched recently is because he was injured.

hazard has not contributed anything this season. his slalom run on 80 odd mins yesterday was the best he's done and even then he was indesicive and lost the ball. hes playing very poorly, and willian isnt, so its not nonsense at all really.

especially when going forwards we have 3 players who all seem to do the same thing, shuttle left and right. rather have true pace up there and 1. press opposition, 2. get at defenders.

He's off the pace but like i said in another thread. Unless one of our players creates something out of nothing then we don't look like scoring and Hazard is most likely to do that. For that reason alone he has to play.

Thats our problem in a nutshell, we are relying on individuals to create something because our team play is off the boil. Not just Hazard, but Costa as well. When they start to get decent ball from the mids, they will improve. e.g., that amazing pass from Fabregas to Pedro, was it ?? Unless Fabregas produces those type of passes more often, though that was exceptional, then it"s Hazard who has to make things happen. Maybe just a start on the bench to freshen things up wouldn't go astray in the right game.

Right so you are suggesting Mourinho should shove Hazard on the bench and start Willian.

Great plan, I hope he does for the remainder of the season.

Just don't understand how it can be a good idea to scapegoat and drop your best player when the whole team has been poor. Would only cause more unrest in the camp.

Think he does need a game or two on the bench, no good continually playing somebody who is literally contributing **** all. What sort of message does it send if he's playing this badly and still makes the first XI every time? He (and the rest of the squad) needs to know if you're playing badly you get hooked. It happens to players like Mata, Schurrle, Cuadrado and Remy it should happen to Hazard too.

Kenedy seems the more obvious replacement if Hazard was to be rested. Played very well in mid week and played on that left side.

Maybe because form is temporary and class is permenant. Jose knows Real are after him and benching him for a string of poor performances may well be the catalyst his agent needs to force a move. Keep him happy and we keep him at the Bridge. His form will return, but it may not be with us if we aren't careful.

Yeah, can see where you're coming from S.C.B.B. My o.p. was probably a bit harsh (must remember not to post after Guinness session !!!) It's just so frustrating to see his form at the moment when we all know what he is capable of.

I agree completely. We should drop one of the best players in the world albeit temporarily to give a kick up his backside.

If only we can do the same and drop THE best manager for a brief spell..

Every world class player gets the boot sometimes to improve their form. Hazard when hes this shocking is terrible. Its bad enough when hes on form and can slalom past players but when hes not even doing that all hes doing is taking 10 touches letting their defence reset and losing the ball or aimlessly running from left wing to the middle no where near their area.

Ive always said his decision making i.e. first time balls etc wasnt great as he likes to dribble but in this form its more prominent.

World class players get dropped all the time. Rooney when he was decent, gerrard had a spell on the bench etc etc. At the moment we are struggling and we need to grind some victories out.

    This

The side is unbalanced. Trying to fit in the spanish discarded by Barcelona has not improved matters, together with loss of form of key players. The defence really look it is going to concede at any set play. I would think you need to grind draws out first (like at the Toon) before you do victories.
