Just heard that Eddie has passed away.
My sincere thoughts go to his family and all who knew him.
Eddie was my first and greatest Killie hero a true legend for Killie fans of that era.
Eddie always gave 100% for the team and I will always remember his goal at Starks park in a cup tie against Raith which I think was the best goal I have ever seen by a Killie team.
I was priveleged to meet and talk to the great man at on a few occasions in the park suite and I can say that Eddie was a lovely guy and a Killie man through and through.

I hope that the club mark his contribution to kilmarnock with a fitting tribute.
O Eddie Eddie,Eddie Eddie ,Eddie Eddie Eddie Eddie Morrison

    RIP Eddie

I too am of the era that grew up with Morrison & Mathie leading the line, and have many fond memories of Eddie in blue and white stripes.

A sad time for Killie fans and our thoughts must be with Eddie's family.

    RIP Eddie <peacedove>

I am also of that vintage that remembers my first true idol in a football strip. In my opinion our best centre forward bar none.Even during his ill fated stint as a manager his love for the club shone through, even to the extent that when we lost ( which was too often sadly) his kids didnt get ice cream that Saturday night.

    RIP Eddie

Very sad to read that Eddie has passed away. He was one of the most committed players I've ever seen. My favourite goal of his was a wonderfully brave flying header against Celtic in a 2-2 draw in which he scored both goals.

Wayne Rooney has been getting headlines for his overhead kick against Man City. I remember Eddie doing the very same thing many years ago at Rugby Park against Dundee when we won 1-0. The very first time I ever saw a goal like it. No great headlines unfortunately.
An absolute legend. He will be sadly, sadly missed!!!
