You'd swear there was only one team in it, claiming last 15 minutes only Wendies looked like scoring. What was he watching? Leeds pressed just as hard, and in fact Wendies attacks were sporadic and on the break. FFS Eddie!! Yes, you are a legend, but get a grip man. You have the opportunity to paint our club in a positive light, so do it. Bates is gone, you can say good things now.
I personally feel Eddie states things as he sees them and in many ways he is saying the same as most of us feel. The players we have are not the best but they should be doing better. Saturday's game was dire, we didn't look anywhere near good enough against a very poor Sheffield Wednesday, so why try to lie and make everyone feel better, when the facts are obvious. I'd rather hear the truth than ****e.
Not lie, but at least be more positive. He only tends to see the bad. Thing is, as the voice of Leeds United I'd expect him to big up our club, lots of positive PR. This can have an influence on our players and fans, and also potential new signings. Who wants to play for a club where all you hear is doom and gloom? Fair point, but Eddie is a Leeds man, he supports the club not just acts for them, he gets angry with some of the performances as we all do, so in the heat of the moment he says what he feels, I personally prefer that.
