Questions: At this stage of the season, and when the u21s don't have a competitive match next weekend for which to protect them, you would think everyone would be looking for at least 60 to 90 minutes in a match. So why take eleven subs to Ebbsfleet? Hughes has not shown in either squad this weekend. I hope he is fit as he would be in my starting line-up at Bournemouth. I have no confidence in Gower in that position and CP apparently has none in Hollands. Nor has Jordan. Out on loan or temporarily indisposed? Nor has Michael Smith. Nor did he appear in the squads for Portsmouth and Dagenham. He has been removed from the squad profiles on the OS. I reckon he's gone. I can accept that as it was marginal if he would make the grade, but why now when we only have two CFs, one of them a youngster in whom CP has no confidence? Why is the OS article headed "Wood to feature", when surely everyone's interest is in Church and McGurk? Munn and Paxman are being given an extended trial to show what they can do. Do we need/can we afford more midfielders?
Church off 'Feed the pig and he will score' comes on as a replacement... Quadruple Charlton sub: Wilson, Green, Evina and Church OFF. Osborne, Fox, Muldoon, Pigott ON
Eddie, U21's have two more PS Friendlies.... Dartford next Tuesday and Havant & Waterlooville next Saturday
Steve Brown said he was going to use his connections to borrow players from Charlton. Sounds like we should be borrowing players from him! Anyway, well done to him and Gritt. I bet they got their players up for it.
