If anyone was planning on coming you might want to change your travel/accomodation plans. Our game in the Saturday has been moved from lunchtime to tea-time for Sky. As a result our game with you on Easter Monday has been pushed back to the Tuesday night.

I have to be honest, Ricardo, I am a little bit disappointed with this thread.

I was expecting it to be an ironic, humerous story about the misfortunes of being in Hull. Well, that's what the title initally suggested to me.

Like, 'Christmas in Camp Bastion'. Or, 'Diamond Wedding Anniversary in Luton'. You know, a bit of a joke.

Im sorry, but its an appalling decision by the football league and its disgusting that Hull even asked! So you are playing a couple of hours later than us. Why does this warrant delaying the match by a whole day!?!?!?!? You still get two hours less recovery time, it just makes it a nightmare for the Watford fans who would have travelled up on the monday. What on earth do you gain from it? It sounds like mind games and Steve Bruce trying to turn the situation to Hulls favour.

Gotta agree with Dan, our crowd will be far smaller than it would have been and some people have already laid out for train fairs...shocking decision.

Meanwhile, i will be going..but if anyone wants to complain about the move, BB posted this email address: [email protected] who is at the football supporters Federation who may be able to make a case.

That all being said, good to see you Ricardo ;)

I've lodged a complaint about this with the Football Supporters Federation - for what it's worth. A straw poll by the Wobby suggest that 63% of fans who would have gone to the Monday game can now no longer go - apply that to the away attendance at Brum and it means a figure of over 1500 fans are being denied the opportunity to watch their team in what could be a major game in the battle for the second automatic promotion spot. And that is simply not acceptable IMO.

Anyone who wants to complain can add their voice by emailing [email protected]

You might consider this an omen guys.
A couple of years ago, when Dave Jones was the boss of Cardiff, they tried the same thing, and it didn't work. They bottled it.
At the time, they were in the 2nd automatic spot and they played Swansea. We went up in 2nd and Swansea went up via the playoffs. That year, QPR were also accused of doing something wrong, and people were , wrongly in my opinion, calling for points to be docked. They got a fine instead,

    See any similarities?

battle for the title this game, Kerdiff have started their annual wobble, Watford will do a Reading-- who else scores so many goals from all over the park, Ull have the ability to take points off other wannabes, but seriously you can still get 12/1 about wfc winning the league 39 points for grabs-- !

Welcome Rudy. It's good to hear new voices, even when I think you are being overly optimistic:smile:. There is a long way to go and we have some difficult games coming up.

ok- thanks, but seriously, its an open league, this side is still improving,at the expense of those around, sure its no cakewalk, but others are now fearing a visit from the hornets, that has not happened for eons-- opponents fans consistently say that WFC are the best side they have seen-- Kerdiff just beat a wounded hornet, reckon a different outcome at the vic.
Zola is a very shrewd guy, he won't allow complacency, which is often the downfall of winning runs, as we have seen,a tactical defeat has been followed by emphatic wins..... Hall still to come back, there are many grounds to be optimistic. allez

I think our club has been shafted on both sides that weekend.

I don't know if you have heard (or care), but this is the second time that the kick off for the Huddersfield game has been moved. And as a result of our game at Huddersfield being moved the West Yorks police in their "wisdom" have said that our allocation of tickets for a Yorkshire derby is reduced from 3,000 or 4,000 to 1,500 and all of our fans must travel to and from the match on official coaches. So for example I (who live 6 miles from Huddersfield's ground) would have to travel an hour to Hull to get on a coach to come back to West Yorks.

Many of our supporters on our board have already paid for train tickets etc to get there for the 12.45pm ko, and now cannot travel on the train so have lost that money.

Our supporters (and the club) have referred the matter to the FSF who are considering a legal challenge to the actions of the WYP.

Then, as a result of our game against you being moved, far less supporters will attend than they would have done on the Monday so we lose out on that revenue as well as the better atmosphere at this crucial fixture.

I know. Even though it is a Yorkshire derby there is hardly a bitter rivalry between the clubs either. Nonsense decision by WTP

welcome rudebwoy :) you're right...optimism is the way to go..i'm loving this season, as are we all...and there's no reason to think that we can't go all the way...how exciting is that thought!

The Huddersfield thing is a joke, but we will be suffering too on the Tuesday because we'll be down to our 500 rather than the possible 1500 we might have brought on the Monday (estimated figures of course, but you get the gist.) This is such a huge game for both clubs, it's utterly ridiculous to move it for the sake of a couple of hours difference for you match on the Saturday.

I think Hull fans should write an open letter to WYP and Sky, informing them that 5,000 Hull fans will be turning up for the original kickoff time whether the match is moved back to its original slot or not.
