The game on Sat has just taken on a new dimension , with the Bolton manager making way for an interim caretaker ! I would have hoped for a hardish fought 3 points with NL in charge with the Bolton enthusiasm tempered with the "well we are almost certain to go down attitude" ... it is likely a case that NL had an agreed "termination gold handshake" as opposed to full contract payment due to the takeover ..... or why else get rid of so close to relegation ... unless he is eying the other Championship vacancies I think now it will be a cup final for Bolton, to impress the new board and respond to the caretaker ... from hardish to granite now ! Birm v Fulham Brentfrd v BBurn Ips v Rotherham MKD v Brighton Sheff v Charlton are fixtures that could give us that extra breathing space, 4 of the top 8 looking for desperate points and Blackburn and Brentford cancelling one or other out !
Always be aware of teams that have just sacked their manager and taken on new owners. Beware the Ides of March.
I still think that being 11 points from safety with 11 games to go is a huge ask to escape from. It's not impossible, but it's very unlikely. A few more defeats and they'll be down.
27 Points available 11pts behind is almost certain they aint playing championship football next season.... FANTASTIC FOR US AS WE ONLY HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT 2 TEAMS getting in front of us .... Our downfall is goal difference, I never worry about this until the last half dozen games, but already it looks bad! third worst... We are 1 lost and a draw from being sucked in should Rotherham, Charlton or Fulham pull 2 from the hat .. C O Y Redddzzzzz do it Saturday
They won't be afraid to try new things going forward which may or not work. Bodies will be on the line but they may be more unorganised at the back.
Despite their position, they appear to be unlucky and often lose by the odd goal and from winning positions. At their place, Fielding saved a penalty, made another goal bound save and they had a goal ruled out for offside- They even have Heskey in their side, who hasn't been prolific but I reckon I can guess what will happen- Wont be an easy game especially with them needing to impress a new manager
We have to approach this with the same professionalism as if we were facing Burnley away. If we do that we'll be fine. It's all about mindset. Physically we are better than them.
WAS THINKING THE SAME ...then looked back on "some of the other potentially "high scoring games and 0-0 and 1 goal seems to dominate

Angelic That's the beauty of it. If we could all forecast the future we'd all be millionaires.... it was one of those high scoring but by just one team .. U S
