Well for starters that the movements of the individual galaxies in relationship to each other supporting the theory, i.e. the rate of expansion decreasing as shown by blue and red shift. Also not forgetting the background radiation within the universe, which manifests as static on the radio frequencies. Plus the fairly new findings at Cern. Obviously the originals of life and the existance of alien life are a different story (and could be down to your God-Astronaut theory, as I understand it) but I do not think the origins of the universe are open to debate. Unless of course you start to look at some of the quantum theories but they are mainly used to support existing thoughts
Who knows? We shall probably never understand the complexities of existence. Scientists just make up theories and can never actually back them up. They are simply modern day wizards with sleight of hand and all manners of trickery. Only the truly idiotic believe the incoherent logorrhea that scientists spout.
