Just been looking at the match photos on GoS........very noticeable at the lack of spectators last night 2383 turned up. The early kick-off was to draw youngsters in who had school the next day i thought.....that was a disaster by the looks of it........would it not be too early for some adults who live out of Plymouth to get from work to the ground in time.....just another cock-up by the looks of it from the present powers that be. Strange how Oxford scored all their penalties and we only can score one.......of course penalties would be plan B and we don't do plan B do we.
What time was the kick off? I was rather surprised to check the score last night to find it was already into the 2nd half..... Poor game from Gilmartin apparently, both in conceding the goal and in the penalties [bit harsh is it?]. Many calls for Cole to be recalled on Saturday. Moseley everyone's choice for MoM, including one Oxford fan who rated him as "completely different class to anyone else on pitch". Why was he substituted? Tiring with no games this season before joining PAFC and then two consecutive starts? I do wonder why PCH was taken off for the youngster Harvey with penalties only minutes away though....
notDistant.....7pm kick-off to entice younger fans along who would have school on Wednesday.......did this last round as well. The photos on GoS showed how empty the ground looked.......2385 paying at the gate. Fletcher said he had to take Moseley off because he was dead on his feet......only second game in twelve months.......didn't want him to pick-up an injury before the York game. Would PCH have been on a penalty list ?......I hope he had thought that far ahead......of course if penalties had gone on he would have had to take one eventually.....now that would of totally be wrong to expect Harvey to take one........although young and no fear....who can tell. I think we still need a better goalkeeper than the two we've got. PS.........Oxford 100% with their penalties.........Griffiths the new pro was our only scorer, the first taken as well.......no confidence at all from the rest, it beggers belief that we can be so bad.........but thinking about it....didn't we miss the lot against Exeter last year so we are improving.
It's all to do with brilliant tactics notdistant. Fletcher is the master of those. Well cocking them up really but lets not start the argument again. They could have made Oxford walk to the ground and kicked off half an hour later and I still think the result would be the same right now. Nobody much went because it is exactly as described in the other thread. A tin pot competition to take the mick out of supporters for a few quid. Supporters in general aren't that stupid enough to go for something like this hence the small numbers.
