http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11711_7089567,00.html Crystal Palace are looking to lure Queens Park Rangers midfielder Shaun Derry back to Selhurst Park, skysports.com understands. Derry has already had three spells at Palace during his career, and now he could be set to move back to South London. Some Palace fans were upset at seeing him depart for QPR last summer, but having played a major part in their promotion to the Premier League he could be set to return. Skysports.com understands QPR are ready to let 33-year-old Derry leave and now Palace are looking to land him. During this three spells, Derry has played over 200 games for Palace and is a former team-mate of current Eagles boss Dougie Freedman. I really hope this isnt true. We only have two holding mids and I think he can do a ver good job.

Someone? I for one certainly hope not.
Didnt he say along with Clint Hill as well. I dont see the logic. We have two holding midfielders at the club and play two holding midfielders in our formation. Also NW said that he'd give both Clint and Shaun a chance.
I cannot see Derry giving up his opportunity to play in the premier league, even it is just for half a season.
He would do a helluva job for Palace if he went back, so I can see why they want him. Will he go? I think he just might, and if he does, all QPR fans should acknowledge we owe him a lot...
I really can't see this happening. Derry is one of Warnock's leaders on the pitch and there is no way he'd give up the opportunity of playing in the PL to be in a relegation battle with the saddoes around the corner from where I live...
Not sure how Derry will perform in the Prem but seeing as Derry,Faulin are our only real 2 central midfielders I can't see happening.
Completely agree Hawkster except for one detail, I don't expect him to go. He has earned his right to play in the Premier League, so unless warnock has told him he is not going to play, I can't see him giving it away. let's face it, if he goes to Palace he won't get another chance! But yes, we owe him loads. I hope he doesn't get barracked if he has a couple of bad matches, he deserves so much more.
Lets hope this is all rumour - can't see Derry giving up his only chance of playing in PL - a move to Palace would end that dream for him, so I can't see it happening
Why the **** would he go Palace when he's gonna be starting 20+ games in the Prem next season? Agent talk no doubt.
I think he would make an effective late sub, bring him on if we need to hang on for 20 mins? Good influence on the likes of Adel and Hogan. keep him for a bit longer surely.
