Spooky . . . . I had laser eye surgery on Friday 13th <yikes> and if I'd waited a week I could well have (according to the surgeon) had a detached retina. Two eyes are better than one, so I believe that I've been very lucky (it's still scary 'cos there's no guarantee that it was a success - I've got a follow up appointment on Tuesday 22nd) :emoticon-0112-wonde

One of my nightmares starts with eye surgery. I don’t think I could go through with it.

I went general anithestic first time but local second and third.
It's not painful but you are aware when tools are in your eyeball.

I would be a bit wary if doctors tools were anywhere near my face

I'd have to be knocked out, the thought of touching my eyeball makes me cringe let alone someone else touching it

Me dad never felt anything during his 2 cataract operations, he got sedated though, they inject numbing stuff under the eyeball. I've just had my teeth cleaned at the dentist and that is enough for me !.
