Intresting news regarding Nathen Dyer, seems he is out injured for Everton and QPR which will take him up to the January transfer window pretty much. His form has been a little bit puzzling lately and i dont think he has played to his normal standard since the rumours started about him being a target for Liverpool. The Swans stand to make very good money off Nathan if sold and it would definatly give Rodgers the money to strengthen in other areas,it wouls also explain his indifferent form and keeping him on the bench would ensure we get our money and he gets his move. sell 1 to bring in 2-3 ?? Maybe just an Injury but i thought i would throw this out there for debate. Nathan injured or being lined up for a big money move? how would the fans re act if the club sold him on to strengthen the budget for January? The timing of it fits well with the transfer window looming but im thinking that the rumour mill would have gone into overdrive, which it hasnt Thoughts ??
I think he is really injured as we'd at least have him on the bench even if Routledge is preferred at the moment. That said, I am still interested to see how Routledge and Rangel link up, and more so, comfortable that the depth of squad allows Dyer to drop out and have someone of quality to step in.... :O) Welcome Back Rangel, I think the time out probably done some good too....
If Rangel dresses for the match then who drops out of the bench ... Monk? If Rangel starts, I think it would be harsh for Jazz not to be on the bench after such a decent stint.
Nah, I think both Monk and Ash will be on the bench... My questions is, who do you think will be on the bench to cover the wing? my bench prediction:- Monk Jazz Temmel Gower Moore Dobbie Lita
It will be silly season for a while. All our best players will be touted around by their agents. The press will be publishing transfer rumours, with no foundation what so ever. I believe he is injured. But that is just my opinion. It will be a long January for us guys. With the speculation about commings and goings at fever pitch. So get ready for the ride we are going to have and fingers cross no one goes. But if anybody does move on they are all replacable.
The team will always evolve ,but I hope who ever goes is replaced at least like for like (preferably better )
I would be sorry to see Dyer go, IF he does. I think he brings a lot to the team and his blinding pace is a terrific weapon for us. Routledge is tricky but I wonder if he has the same raw speed as Dyer. For me, he certainly doesn't defend as well as Dyer in terms of tracking back and tackling. We all know Nathan's weak points but they can be improved in training. His final ball often looks worse than it is because of the lack of players in the box. Trying to pinpoint one man (eg. Danny) is a far more difficult skill than playing a percentage ball into the danger area where it could be attacked by a number of players. We just don't get bodies in the box to help him but Norwich would love him!! Still, if he does move on, I hope the money will be spent on quality rather than average players designed to flesh out the bench.
Ivor, he did take a heavy knock not too long after coming on. Must have hampered him as he wasn't the Dyer we all know attacking the full backs. Then again I've all ready said that I think Brendan didn't want to commit too many player forward so late on. Routledge I'm still unsure about, doesn't have the raw pace as Dyer but can deliver a quality ball. Still always prefer Dyer playing.
Nathan Dyer has always been a crowd pleaser. It's worth the entrance fee just to see him tie up a full-back in knots.
It's already been alluded to, but I think the fact that Rangel is out injured really detriments Dyer's game. They have as good an understanding as it's possible to have, and when you lose your partner in crime you'll suffer. If he has indeed picked up a knock on top that then his absence is no surprise.
he has a bit of bruising on his foot so its no big deal. he is being rested rather than play him with the chance of it getting worse, a sensible thing to do at the end of the day, there are no rumors of dyer going anywhere but that is not to say it cant happen in january. I hope we can get rid of any surplus anyway to make room for better players and let who we dont want a chance of another club to play on a regular basis.....
Speaking of surplus im hoping Cotteril, butler and Beatie can find new clubs. Beatie scored for Watford the other week so maybe he is doing well there ??
Lets hope so, i never understood what it was with cotteril, always starts amazing at a new club then dissapears without trace. Butler has just been lucky to make it this far IMO, he is L1 standard and no more .
