Bolton say they will bid for Lloyd Dyer, who has been offered a new one-year deal at Leicester but he wants a better longer contract than has been offered.
Can't see this myself but funnier things happen, has been great for us this year but can’t see him getting longer than an extra year on his contract here!

When you say "bid for Dyer", do you mean, made an offer to sign him now, or offered him a contract to take up at the end of the season?

IMO I don't think he will be good enough for the Premiership (IF we get there <yikes>), but he definitely deserves his chance.

Depends how he feels I suppose. Whether he wants to be a bit-part Premiership player, or a first-choice Championship player.

At his age i guess it will be about who can give him the biggest retirement fund, im not saying he isn't loyal to Leicester, because hes been nothing short of professional, but Championship-regular wages may trump bit part Prem player wages (if we do go up).

Could also be based on not moving his family too, he was at MK Dons before us, so its likely that he didn't even move house and would want to stay local.

Lloyd will still be a very good player for us in the Prem

Aslong as he keeps his pace he will always be a threat

I agree, he would be a squad player and one to bring off the bench

But he would still be an important player

We need to keep players like him for next season IF we go up or not. That´s unless we´ve got an absolute top draw replacement that is.

He's scored 2/2 against PL teams this season! What's the harm in giving him another year?

    Who has said that?

I think people are just saying that he won't be able to do it week in week out in the PL. A new winger might just be a priority.

No it's was a tongue in cheek comment with his goal

I don't think Dyer will play as much of a role in the prem as he has this season. Before we say we need a new winger as a priority we need to see how good Mahrez actually is

A nice assist tonight by Mahrez apparently. Hope he turns out to be another great find!

At his age he wont get many like this. Maybe he will play with his heart on his sleeve.. Who are we to judge dyer? Rarely do you find someone who compliments your team no matter what squad you have.

Yh. He put his hands on his hips and then started throwing his arms in the air. He had a few words with Shakey then

Im pretty sure Nigel will have a quick word and then draw a line under it

Think he just wanted to play longer, im sure words will be said between Pearson and Dyer, or may already have, but i can't see this effecting his place in the side, hes been more than professional for years now.

Its not a major thing. Nigel will point out hes in charge and he knows best

The fact that the sub set Vardy up only proves NP made the right call
