It is a real shame that a hugely talented and blessed footballer has been cursed in such equal measure. Shades of Kevin Beattie after all his injury problems. I wish the lad all the best as he is one of the finest footballers that Town have ever produced. <ok>

I don't think he's cursed at all, I think it's his attitude. Knowing him I doubt very much that he trains properly.

The word IDIOT has been used probably to frequently on here of late but.....!

But Warnock later allayed fears that Dyer had suffered serious injury.

"We thought he had broken his metatarsal, but the x-rays showed no break, although he got a nasty stud on the top of his foot," he said. (Warnock)

Not really sure how this type of injury has anything to do with a players attitude.

Well if you don't train properly then you'll be injury prone. The reason Ryan Giggs has stayed fit for so long is that he does an awful lot of extra work to minimise the risk of picking up injuries. Kieron was in my school team and also played in the same league and sometimes didn't bother turning up to matches and we grew up in the same neighbourhood. Given that his attitude was beyond terrible when I knew him right up until he signed for Town it wouldn't surprise me if that's the reason he's so injury prone. I don't think it's bad luck.

I would think the majority of it as a sport scientist is due to bad luck and his stature, he also has brittle bones rather than a bad attitude. Perhaps he does have a bad attitude which may contribute minimally to this but to blame injuries on a player's poor attitude is ridiculous and I detect perhaps a slight bitterness toward him in your post?? He is such a talented player, is such a shame he hasn't had the chance to fulfil his potential. I do not feel sorry for him because he has done very well out of his injury prone career.

The only bitterness is frustration at the waste of his talent. That old thing of mind over matter - someone with more mental strength I'm sure will recover from injuries more quickly, I don't think he really cares. And you underplay the importance of it - if you don't warm up properly you'll pull a muscle! I'm sure he has genuine injuries but I don't reckon he does all he can to recover and prevent them.

He was a mad Ipswich fan. He only went to Newcastle because Bobby was the manager and I think after he was sacked he became more interested in the pay cheque than the football.

I was never in Kieron's league in terms of ability - no-one could get near him.

What a stupid comment. He's done a lot worse than that in his time.

He's grown up now and got a kid with his missus I believe.
