Dyer explains QPR embarrassment at Luton By Paul Warburton Aug 6 2011 1Share Add a comment Recommend (3) KEIRON Dyer reckons QPR fans should not read much into the 3-1 defeat to BSP Luton Town on Friday night. Rangers took a 1-0 lead inside 30 seconds through debutant DJ Campbell, but wholesale changes after half-time saw a new-look outfit fade and concede three goals - two in the last 10 minutes. The former England international, along with Clint Hill, were the only survivors from the first 45 minutes, and Dyer (pic) joked he was hauled off just in the nick of time. He added: "Things went a bit wrong after that. But one thing fans and everyone else probably doesn't know is we had a hard 70-minute match amongst ourselves on Thursday, and another hard training session on Friday morning. "We'll be flying by the time we face Bolton next week." Dyer explained why he joined QPR, and what boss Neil Warnock wants from him this season, and fans should log onto Chronicle sport in the next few days as the new boy reveals all. He was at a lose and and thought "why not?" He fancies Bernie's daughter? His agent told him to? His bank manager told him to?
he's right, you should see some other results from friendlies, lots os similar ones, plus it was our reserves who go tpummeled in the second half
Get used to it chaps! Losing that is!! God knows what Bolton will do to Rangers????? Mind you Luton are far better then them, are they not??
Changing almost the entire team during halftime is nonsense anyway, what was the intention to do so ? An embarrassing result indeed, but the Bolton game will certainly be another thing.
The only important outcome from this game is that there were no injuries; imagine if we had won comfortably and ended up with casualties like Bolton for example who have sustained two serious injuries in the last couple of weeks. I think they would agree wholeheartedly and we shouldn't give the result a second's thought.
I totally agree we need to keep the ball however we don't have any defenders who are capable of building from the back. Isn't it a little strange that we still haven't sorted out a prem quality back four? unless of course Dyer has been signed as our new right back, maybe Joe Cole as left wing back and Crouch as Centre Back?
Quite right, friendlies mean absolutely nothing. A few seasons ago we beat Fulham in our last pre-season game under J Gregory and everyone was saying we're gonna have a great season (that seems to happen every year irrespective of the facts) and after 8 games we were rooted to the bottom without a single win. Rather than worrying about pointless pre-season warm ups, why not comment on the real reason's that we've seen all summer why this coming season could be a disaster??
