Crying out for a creative midfielder?

Kieron is training with Town. His wage demands would be modest to play for his hometown club.

I think it might do us some good at the moment...

    Mmmmmm..

Not so sure about that, how about a pay as you play contract, even a contract till the end of the season is a massive gamble with his history....

As I've said before, I'm sure that he can be fit when he wants to be and he must be enjoying being back home.

I'll trust Mick to see if Keiron's got enough about him to be worthy of something. It's not usually a good idea to go back to old players (Warky aside) but I think he could do a job for us until we get Taylor back at the very least. Short term contract 'til end of season and then see how it goes wouldnt be a huge gamble. It seems like Mick is just trying to get us through until May before he really makes any big permanent changes.

I really fail how to see how this could be a bad thing. His talent is obvious and from what I've seen he still has it, when he does actually play. When ever he's played for QPR or West Ham albeit very little he's still got rave reviews, infact he was apparently MOM for QPR against Man U.

We are probably the only club who could get him on a low pay as you play wage, which would be no financial risk to the club at all and we are a club who he would want to play for, I really don't see a problem with it. However I do not see Mick signing him, he's not exactly his type of player and I can't see him fitting in a 442, he like JET, Martin and Taylor is probably best in an attacking midfield central role which Mick doesn't play in a 442!! Under Jewell he would've already been signed up!!

I do wish you'd get away from thinking that Mick only creates workmanlike teams. He is doing what is neccessary to keep us up this year but I'll think you'll find that he will be looking to add creativity to the squad. After a full pre-season working with the team I think we will see a more expansive way of playing come the start of the new season.

But he does create workman like teams. Have you ever seen a player like Dyer in a McCarthy team?? The only creativity McCarthy has generally in his teams is from the wings which is unfortunate for us atm, considering we have 2 inept wingers!!

I'm sure we'll be more creative next season but I'm not expecting us to play an expansive game because that's not his style!!

Have to admit I do like good wing play, and as you say, that is normally the way Mick sets his teams up. We've shipped so many goals that I'm not surprised that he has gone for a very solid spine to the team with Hyam and N'Daw.

Theres no doubt Dyer was a class act but thats quite a few years ago now, and but for his injury problems he would have gone on to great things, but his injuries are the problem with him, just how many games would he actually play? How many games has he played in the last 5 years? If MM thinks he can do a job for us then so be it, lets leave it up to Mick.

If it's about him being injury prone, we're not going to offer anything that's a risk. Maybe a contract at this juncture could be a step toward a coaching role.

It just seems to me that he is exactly the type of player that we are lacking.

Mick knows what he's doing, he is definitely not a mug.
