I watched them the other night and i felt the effort wasn't there. The board must have felt the same. I think dyche had had enough and fancied a change anyway
Cos changing manager with a handful of games to go always works. They'll be dancing in the streets of Everton over this one.
Disastrous decision. He’s over achieved with Burnley for years. I’d have had him as our manager if we had a vacancy…
Pretty sure they’ve got wealthy owners, but they’re obviously desperate not to go down and this change makes no sense. Tough job for whoever takes it.
He’s over achieved for years, they may get a reaction in the short term but it’s a risk. I’m not sure there’s anyone else out there that could do want he’s done with that squad
It sounds like a desperate move, he has kept them in the league much longer than they would have done under another manager. I can't help feeling they might regret it. Strange timing, unless there has been a falling out, which seems possible.
Bad move! If anyone could save them it was him. Everton beating Man u must have been a huge mental blow for the Burnley players.
At least they have money in the bank. Well, they did, until the new owners used it to buy the club. I'll just echo the previous bonkers decision.
Wouldn't surprise me to se him turn up at Watford come The Summer. Good managers aren't usually out of a job for long.
There’s no loyalty in football! I wanted Burnley to stay up, but with this, I just see them dropping through the divisions. Dyche might have got them back up, but I doubt anyone else will. Seems a stupid decision from someone who doesn’t understand football.
