Are the posters on this WO story below being a bit harsh on Dyche for saying basically West Ham have players who are much better than us and you'd expect that?

Or are they right to point out it doesn't mean we shouldn't compete (which I think we did for 45 minutes BTW)?

The comment was part of a long interview where he admitted our own faults TBF and after a couple of Pre-season games he did slate our own performances quite a bit.

I know fans did get a bit frustrated with some of Malky's excuse...such as blaming officials or talking about how young our squad was compared to others.

Mark I can't get too carried away with his (SD's) comments at the moment. Happy to cut the slack and see how September unfolds. Of course 1 point after 3 and a 0-4 will lead to some tough and possibly fair comments. But although it was 0-4 it doesn't seem that we were a shambles.

That said I'd rather he avoided price comparisons and talked about the play and motivation. We all have seen how a motivated team can make up for a 100 million or so.

I just hope the pressure put upon SD by himself and the fans doesn't lead to him making snap major changes in a desperate hope it comes right. Stick with the plan and if in another 6 to 8 weeks he really is not the man to motivate the players we have then the board should do what is necessary.
