AWAY IN BC trust me it nearly is. I have always tried to look on the positive side of life in the green lane but today I actually feel that this is now it for us. I just cannot see where a result is going to come from let alone several that we need. Yes it was that bad.

We could still be out on the park now trying to score but I don't think we would. They, as in Gillingham, were the worst bunch of whinging falling down time wasting feigning injury players I have seen in a very long time. The Referee was abysmal and even worse than normal. The sending off for them was poor and nowhere near justified. Other bookings were a joke. The Ref got in the way of two players himself on one occasion, blew for a foul on the Gillingham player and booked Walton who was on the floor. For F*** sake it was his own tackle that caused the problem not the players involved. He allowed them to roll around feigning injury every couple of minutes and did nothing to stop it. Time wasting went unpunished. They only did what we might have done and as they got away with it so easily who can blame them when on 3 points away with 10 men for an hour.

The tactics, this will please plymborn, were inept from the start. We started with one up front. From the first 5 minutes everyone in the ground could see it wasn't going to work but was it changed at all. No or at least not until the second half. Did we throw on extra strikers. No. Did we go for a result. No. All in all Fletcher can dress this up in any way he wants but it will not disguise the fact that the players were generally clueless as was he as the manager. I am as good as resigned to the BSP.

Playing against teams who play football instead of rolling around the floor feining imaginary injuries for nothing just to waste some time would help ..... Gillingham might be safe but I'd rather support the greens than that sort of team any day !

To be fair to Gillingham Gat they did what we should have done at Macclesfield. And, did what they were allowed to get away with. You can't blame them for doing it even if it isn't good to see. Their job is not to entertain the home supporters, their job is to get the best result they can which they did. Man of the Match for me was their physio who spent more time running on the pitch that the players did. The number of life saving sponges he produced was nothing short of a miracle.

Playing one up front at home is surely negative football.

Gillingham arrive with a weakened squad........end up with ten men..........one star foreward off before half-time.....plus replacing King early on as well..........and we can't take advantage of it..........that's got to be very poor tactics.........bad leadership...........what was Deehan doing looking for his pencil sharpener.........I can't understand what the benefit is of having him is.

I can't bare the thought of what Fletcher's post match comments are.......I'll wait until tomorrow after sleeping on it before looking.

Brent must be wandering like the rest of us if making Fletcher manager so quick was a good idea, they might think he has potential for the future......but for the present he has nothing whatsoever to give......I just cannot see how we will survive with him in charge.........and if we do achieve that miracle.......I would still want him gone for next season.

Bloody hell...seems like the last 2 seasons all over again...playing with no real urgency. If we can get a new manager in now...like yesterday, I think it will be worth the risk myself.

My wife listened to Sparksie on the Radio yesterday AWAY IN BC. When I got home and relayed the abysmal details to her she told me that he was beside himself in commentary yesterday and basically had been saying all of what I was then telling her. Even Sparksie, the greenest of green tinted commentators in the whole wide world could make no sense out ot the game either tactically or acting on their part. His opinion of the Ref was probably worse than mine so you clearly missed a good one there if he really did sound off.
