I have read that Dwight Gayle is possibly going to Palace for a big fee?

    Is he good enough?

I saw him play for you at Ashton Gate and thought he was ok - I suspect they are paying for potential here as well?

At least you can use the money to re-shape the team.

All the best for next season (apart from the games against us of course!)

Yes, I think he is good enough. If you watch his hat-trick in the game we played against Blackburn,
left foot, right foot and header, it will give you some idea of his ability. Add to that his intelligence, movement
and pace and you can understand the interest in him. A modest young man who is willing to listen and learn
    is another factor.

You will not have been able to see Gayle at his best in the match at Ashton Gate because his striking
partner Lee Tomlin was sent off early on and Gayle, as good as he is, is not suited to the lone front-man role.

Premiership opponents under-rate him at your peril.

smhbcfc - May I take this opportunity to thank you in advance for the 6 points generously donated to our promotion cause.

I was hoping that he would turn them down at the last minute after what they did to us in the last minute of last season :D

Good luck to the lad although with a bit of luck we will meet CP in the championship again next season & he will move back to the prem with someone else !

Well Pete, we took 6 off you last season!!!

O'Driscoll is quietly building a decent side for League 1 - not saying we are going up, but am a lot happier than I was a month ago

Can see all 3 relegated clubs getting promoted this year, harsh on Posh to get relegated and the other two have Championship teams already.

Dwight Gayle was released by Arsenal, not because he wasn't good enough but because he was 'too small'!

I think it would be poetic justice for Palace to beat Arsenal 3 - 0 with Gayle scoring all 3 goals.

(Performance not size is the key)
